MOONS OF NEPTUNE is an Old-Vine Zinfandel from historic California vineyard, Del Barba Ranch. Descending upon this 120-year-old, own-rooted vineyard, you're immersed in a sea of grapes, dwarfed by unruly, head-trained vines, which face Mount Diablo. Planted in sand, this ancient seabed has withstood phylloxera, Prohibition, and other plights upon California farm land over the last century. These dry-farmed, gnarled vines create a bold yet restrained expression of this powerful, concentrated fruit, with balanced acidity and great aging potential.

2018 Moons of Neptune Zinfandel (92-94 pts)
"...loaded with sweet dark cherry, tobacco, cedar, mint and licorice. Boisterous and juicy in the glass, with terrific nuance, the 2018 is fabulous; I can't wait to taste it from bottle. The purity of the fruit is just striking. This is a great example of Contra Costa Zinfandel."
